By Sweeper | December 15, 2007
The Associate Press has released information that Callaway Golf has won it's law suit against Acushnet, the maker of The Pro V1 golf ball which is sold by Titleist.
Callaway spokeswoman Michele Szynal, stated that jurors find in favor of Callaway on four of the five patents that were mentioned in the suit.
Szynal released the following statement; "We have now established in court that our golf ball patents are valid, and that Titleist Pro V1 golf balls infringe those patents," she said.
"We will immediately start the process of requesting an appropriate remedy, including injunctive relief and damages."
It should be interesting to see what happens with this. How Come The Hat & Bag Don’t Match?
By Sweeper | December 14, 2007
Have you ever wondered why some pros advertise a particular brand of clubs on their hat, but have clubs from one or two other manufactures in their bag?
Every-time I watch a golf show or read an article about what the pros have in their bag, there's hardly any, that carry a complete set of clubs from one manufacture. Yes of course there are exceptions but the vast majority from what I've seen do not.

Hybrids Clubs Are They In Your Bag?
By Sweeper | December 9, 2007
Hybrid club, utility club or rescue club, call them whatever you want, just make sure you have one or two in your bag! Hybrid clubs are designed to replace your long irons (2, 3, 4 and sometimes 5).
Although slightly longer than regular irons they help get the ball airborne much easier because of the lower center of gravity. And because they are shorter than fairway woods, they are easier to control.
Hybrid clubs also offer a wide variety of shots and uses. For instance, out of the rough a hybrid is perfect. The added club head weight and wider sole, cuts through long rough with no problem.

Howell & Callaway Golf Parting Ways!
By Sweeper | December 7, 2007
Charles Howell has announced that he is leaving Callaway Golf. It's not sure why he has decided to leave but it can't be for money reasons. Of the 3 million that he made off the course this year, a large portion of that was from his deal with Callaway.
Howell played Ping equipment while in collage and some think he may be making the switch over to Ping but Ping has Hunter Mahan as their new up and comer. I guess in time we'll find out why the change and where he is headed.
